Junior Naturalist Program launched by CCMIP

Do you have a child or grandchild 6-10 who loves being outdoors? CCMIP's Junior Naturalist Program is an exciting opportunity for nature loving children.  Your child will have fun while learning to:

  • Identify native plants

  • Record their observations

  • Learn songs of native birds

  • Care for our native garden

  • Research information about the Native Plant of the Month & Native Bird of the Month

  • Take responsibility for the natual world

  • Share their knowledge with others

  • Be a leader in their family and community

Specific content taught by native wildlife experts will be tailored to children attending.

Instructors include:

Rita Moore, Native Plant Steward, Washington Native Plant Society; National Wildlife Federation Habitat Steward

Linda Anchondo, Seattle Audubon Society Master Birder

No upcoming programs at this time. Class size is limited to 10 children with attending parent/grandparent. Pre-registration is required. To register, email protectMIparks@gmail.com.
